Western Jeepster Commando owners are having another BBQ potluck (our 8th annual)
When: Saturday, August 15th 2010
Where: Howard Park located in Ione, CA
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Come one, come all, and enjoy a day with fellow Jeepster friends. Join us for
the 8th gathering at Howard Park in Ione Ca. This event is for everyone to
attend regardless if your Jeepster is running or not and is FREE to everyone to
attend, jeepster or not.
If anyone would like to volunteer to help out with the BBQ this year please let
me know.
Also bring a few parts along to sell or trade. DO NOT bring trailers or large
vans (u-haul type) full of used parts; instead bring what will fit in your
vehicle. They will ask us to leave if it looks like a yard sale.
Paper plates, cups, napkins, forks and a gas bar-b-q will be supplied. Bring
your chairs. We need everyone to bring their own meat, drinks, and one dish for
the potluck. Might want to bring an awning for shade. Table top BBQ’s are also
needed.
Here are the directions for the bar-b-q, which will be held at Howard Park in
Ione. Located 40
miles southeast of Sacramento, 35 miles northeast of Stockton, right off highway
88.
Coming from south state, take Highway 99 northbound, about 7 miles past Lodi
exit Liberty Road (eastbound). Take Liberty road; at the 2nd stop sign turn left
onto Highway 88. Turn left on Highway 124 (Ione). The park is about 3 miles on
the right side. Follow the signs off Hwy. 88 to the park.
I will stage signs on Main Street in Ione for those coming from East Sacramento
area.
Coming from the bay area take 80 to Southbound 99; from Sacramento take Highway
99 southbound, (3 or 4 miles south of Galt). Take Liberty road eastbound; at the
2nd stop sign turn left onto Highway 88. Turn left on Highway 124 (Ione). The
park is about 3 miles on the right side.
Camping--Lake Camanche North shore is located about 7 miles from Ione.
